What is Issue?

In vulnerability management platforms, an issue represents a grouped, tracked security problem. While a scanner may produce dozens of raw findings, these are deduplicated and grouped into issues for efficient management. Issues have a lifecycle: open, in progress, fixed, or snoozed. They track severity, affected assets, remediation history, and SLA compliance. Issues provide the actionable unit of work for security teams, bridging the gap between scanner output and remediation workflow.
