What is Threat Intelligence?

Threat intelligence is data that has been collected, processed, and analyzed to understand threat actors, their motivations, capabilities, and indicators of compromise (IOCs). Sources include vulnerability databases, malware analysis, dark web monitoring, and information sharing communities. Operational threat intelligence helps security teams prioritize vulnerabilities (which CVEs are being actively exploited?), detect attacks (which IPs are known malicious?), and prepare for emerging threats.
