Reports Overview

FortWatch provides reporting capabilities to help you communicate security status to stakeholders, track progress over time, and maintain compliance documentation.

Dashboard as a Report

The dashboard itself functions as a real-time security report. It shows your current threat level, severity breakdown, vulnerable assets, and open issues in a format that can be shared with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Scan Reports

Each completed scan generates a detailed report containing:

  • Scan summary — Total findings by severity, scan duration, and scanner used.
  • Finding details — Each finding with its severity, description, and evidence.
  • Port scan results — Open ports and detected services (for Nmap scans).
  • Comparison — New, resolved, and persistent findings compared to the previous scan.

Issue Reports

Track your issue management progress with:

  • Open issues by severity — How many issues are waiting to be addressed.
  • Resolution rate — How quickly issues are being resolved.
  • Dismissed issues — Issues that have been set aside, with reasons and expiry dates.
  • Issue history — Timeline of status changes for each issue.

Using Reports for Compliance

Regular vulnerability scanning and documented remediation is a requirement for many compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS). FortWatch's scan history and issue lifecycle tracking provide evidence of:

  • Regular vulnerability assessments
  • Documented risk acceptance (dismissed issues with reasons)
  • Timely remediation of critical findings
  • Continuous monitoring of infrastructure
