Understanding the Dashboard
The dashboard is the first thing you see when you log into FortWatch. It provides a real-time overview of your security posture across all projects and assets.
Threat Level Score
The most prominent element on the dashboard is the Threat Level widget, which displays a score from 0 to 100. This score is calculated using a weighted formula based on your open issues:
- Critical issues contribute 10 points each
- High issues contribute 4 points each
- Medium issues contribute 1.5 points each
- Low issues contribute 0.5 points each
A lower score means a healthier security posture. The goal is to keep your threat level as close to zero as possible by resolving critical and high-severity issues first.
Severity Breakdown
This widget shows a visual breakdown of all open issues across your infrastructure, grouped by severity: Critical (red), High (orange), Medium (yellow), and Low (blue). It gives you an immediate sense of where attention is needed most.
Vulnerable Assets
A ranked list of your assets ordered by the number and severity of open issues. Assets with the most critical findings appear at the top, helping you prioritize which assets to address first.
Recent Scans
Shows the latest scan activity across all assets, including scan status (running, completed, failed) and a summary of findings discovered in each scan.
Issues to Fix
A prioritized list of open issues sorted by severity (critical first, then high, medium, and low). Each issue links directly to its detail page where you can review the finding, read remediation guidance, or dismiss it.
Scan Schedule Overview
Displays upcoming scheduled scans so you know when your next automated scans will run. By default, all active assets are scanned daily at 3:30 AM.
