Quick Start Checklist
Follow this checklist to go from zero to fully monitored infrastructure in under 10 minutes.
1. Create Your Account
- Sign up at
app.fortwatch.ai/signup - Verify your email address
- Complete the onboarding steps
2. Set Up Your First Project
- Go to Projects in the sidebar
- Click New Project
- Name it something meaningful (e.g., "Production Infrastructure" or "Company Website")
- Choose a project color for easy identification
3. Add Your Assets
- Open your project and click Add Asset
- Add your primary domain (e.g.,
yourcompany.com) - Add any subdomains you want to monitor (e.g.,
api.yourcompany.com,app.yourcompany.com) - Add any IP addresses for servers you manage directly
- Wait for validation to complete — assets will move to Active status
4. Run Your First Scan
- Once assets are active, click Scan Now on any asset
- Or wait for the next scheduled scan (daily at 3:30 AM by default)
- The scan typically takes 2-10 minutes depending on the asset
5. Review Your Results
- Check the Dashboard for your Threat Level score
- Review any auto-created Issues (from critical and high-severity findings)
- Use AI Analysis to get remediation guidance for any finding
6. Configure Ongoing Monitoring
- Adjust scan schedules per asset if needed (daily, weekly, or monthly)
- Dismiss any false positives with a reason and optional expiry date
- Check back regularly or wait for notification of new findings
That's it — FortWatch is now continuously monitoring your infrastructure for vulnerabilities.
